What made you decide that Sealy Japan was the company for you?
It’s because I was dazzled by the president. I’m not joking! I was fascinated when I listened to him talking at a recruiting seminar, at how passionate he was despite the recent bad economic situation. I was sure that the employees and the company itself would be great as well as their boss, and decided to start my career here.
Tell me your position / what you do at Sealy Japan.
I’m undergoing on-the-job training, and accompany the senior sales staff on visit to clients such as department stores and furniture stores. In terms of furniture stores, I also deal with orders and other desk works as an assistant. I still have many things to learn and sometimes get overwhelmed, but I really enjoy my exciting working life. I’m trying my best to get used to my job as soon as possible and becoming the person in full charge.
How is the atmosphere of the company?
The first impression I had was that the company had a proper means of communication. At the office, people talk about work but also make jokes. Every colleague has their own originality and I find something new every day. All of them are friendly and easy to get along with, and I feel reassured because they teach me patiently and support me when I ask them something I don’t understand.
What do you enjoy most about your work? What is “work” to you?
I enjoy meeting with many clients accompanying the senior sales staff. I’d like to be engaged in sales activities, not only to enjoy meeting people but also to build relationships with them. I’d like to tell them advantages of not only each product but also the brand of Sealy.
W hat is your dream? And where does the power to pursue your dream come from?
I wish to be a reliable person. And I’d like to cherish encounters both at work and in my private life. I think that my positive thinking helps me to make an effort to be my ideal person.
How do you spend your weekends?
I go out with friends from university. I love talking, and so we just keep on talking and talking... and it helps to relieve stress!
What are you interested in right now?
To improve my “girl’s power”! I’m interested in whatever makes me shine as a person. Now, I’m in to skin care and cooking. I would appreciate your suggestion, if anything!
